    AA recalls?

When will we know how many AA recalls are accepting. When will (or must) they enter class? When is the last day they can say they are coming back?

I was in the Recruiting Office on Monday and asked.

    They offered no information...

I think 4/6 was the cut off day, but I'm sure they didn't make phone calls to all 900 furloughees that day.

About 850 recalls left. First "recall" class is 5/17. Affected pilots have a minimum 21 day advance notification and contact has already started from AA which is both phone and back up FedEx letter. They call and fill a class in advance, then call and fill the next, etc. Not calling all at once, just until each class is filled about 5-6 weeks in advance. No way to know final acceptance rate until last deferred pilot is called. Could be 2 months or 6-8 months. Estimate ranges from 150 to 400, but only a guess.

The official drop dead date is May 9, but that doesn't mean much. That is why the first recall class is May 17, but pilots were called already for that class and it is filled. It will be a work in progress and the acceptance rate is likely to vary as the list is trimmed.

Will there be any Flow Throughs in the May 17 class or all recalls?

So the 'drop dead' date is May 6th, but they won't get a call potentially until months later?

Then why are they putting Eagle flows on the LUS side in the 4/19 and 5/03 classes if the recalls arent coming back until 5/17?

Yes, I believe the plan would be for the recalls to return to the AA side and the flows from all Eagle carriers to go to the US side, predominantly filling up E-190 slots. It will be interesting to see what they do if more recalls return then anticipated and they are staffed or overstaffed on the US side. No way of telling what they'll do.

Because they need new hires on the LUS side.

Airbus PHL, for one, is offering critical pay because they are understaffed.

There was a company email stating they would continue to flow even if there were no new hires in class. How many will be allowed to flow per class has not been stated.

From Apr5 class. With recalls, the are running 1 recall class a month, with about 10 new hires in following classes. Some flow, but just a drip.

10 actual new hires or just flows? If street hires, then we get 5 spots. I think I remember seeing something about no street hires, but that was from a town hall video someone quoted.

I believe it was 10 flows. Apr 5 was a huge class with recalls, new hires and flows. About 49.

I read today (c&R) that the June classes will have a total of 108. That includes 13 involuntary returns. Now how many will show is another question.
