    Envoy Displacement Guide

I've asked Sam to update the Envoy Displacement "101" Guide. They are working on it. We are also working on a MEC displacement communication to go out too.

In the meantime, the current Envoy Displacement "101" Guide still applies mostly. It can be downloaded here: http://envoy.alpa.org/LinkClick.aspx...%3d&tabid=6677

Remember that the E-175 equipment code in FOS is E75. For, for example, if you inputted a displacement preference for Dallas Captain E175, you would enter 3D/DFW/CA/E75/D

    Displacements and Red-Circle Pilots

Reminder: Please remember that current contract language states that a pilot will lose his “red circle” protection if he preference bids or proffers to displace to a different status, even if he remains on the same equipment. If you are currently red circled, you will lose your red circle status if you are involuntarily displaced from your equipment. If you are involuntarily displaced from your base but maintain your same equipment you will retain the red-circle pay. If you are awarded a proffer to displace you are not "involuntarily" displaced.

    CBA Section 3.B.5 states:
    f. A red-circled Captain who voluntarily bids out of his current status, or who is involuntarily displaced to different equipment, or is awarded a proffer to displace, will lose his red-circle status.

    g. A red-circled Captain who is involuntarily displaced into the same equipment as a Captain will maintain his red-circle status.

    Displacements and Moving Expenses

Reminder: For those pilots who are involuntarily displaced out of their domicile the company is required to pay moving expenses pursuant to Section 7 of the Pilot Agreement. A pilot whose proffer to displace is awarded is not entitled to any Company paid moving expenses. Pilots have the option of using a company designated moving company OR opting for a self-move. With either option prior approval must be obtained. If you wish to have moving expenses covered, please contact your Chief Pilot to coordinate the move approval process after the displacement bid is final. The Pilot Agreement states a time limit for a paid move of 12 months after commencement of line flying at the new domicile.

    Displacements and Training Freezes

Reminder: CBA Section 15.J specifies voluntary bids for a permanent vacancy that require upgrade training or training on a different equipment type will be subject to training freezes:

    J. TRAINING FREEZE

    1. A pilot who voluntarily bids for and is awarded a permanent vacancy that requires upgraded training or training on a different equipment type will be subject to a fourteen (14) month training freeze, except that:

    a. All turbojet Captains will be subject to a training freeze of twenty-four (24) months.

    b. All new hire pilots will be subject to a training freeze of twelve (12) months.

    2. A training freeze will commence fourteen (14) days prior to the day said pilot is scheduled to report for training for his new position. If a pilot is withheld from a position his training freeze will run concurrent with that of the junior pilot who enters training for the same vacancy.

    3. Pilots subject to a training freeze will not be awarded a permanent vacancy for a different status, except as provided in paragraph J.4.below. Pilots subject to a training freeze will not be precluded from bidding and being awarded a lateral bid status.

    4. Waiver. Nothing herein will prevent the Company from canceling a pilot’s training freeze, provided such cancellation applies to all senior pilots who are in a training freeze in the same equipment.

No & No, as long as it is a displacement or a proffer to displace.
