American spokesman Casey Norton said Wednesday, “American would like to place some of its large regional aircraft with Envoy, but the economics of the current contract are not competitive. There were informal discussions with Envoy ALPA to see what could be done to remedy this.

American spokesman Casey Norton said Tuesday that "despite repeated efforts, we haven't been able to reach agreement with the Envoy pilots and have had to move on with different plans for our operations. No further contract discussions with the pilots are expected until their current contract becomes amendable in 2016."

Yes we will, why do people keep saying that. We're shrinking due to attrition and will be a smaller airline were not going anywhere. No other airline can just magically replace all we do period. This is the only airline that has an ok contract for now and there is movement upwards automatically with 20guy/galls moving up each month. You can't say that about any other airline for certain. Everyone needs to relax and smell the roses. Take a vacation and relax.

    Agree.

They want Evoy at around 1,400 active pilots. To staff aprox. 110 planes at Envoy + (20 to compass and 20 to PDT,) = a total of 150 planes to feed AAG, remember the original order was 60, 90 and that is 150 planes, which is the number that they guaranteed on this latest proposal down from 170( 118 + 47) on the previous one).

    110 175's x 76 seats = 8,360 seats.
    or
    118 EMB x 50 = 5,900
    47 CRJ x 64 = 3,008
    --------
    Total 8,908
    seats available
    per mile
    ASM

Same capacity whith a lot less crews and a lot less planes.

Keep in mind that the new Envoy building is 155,00sq/ft and simulators fit perfectly in it, but only when they reinforce the floor to sustain the weight of the sim.

How many sims do the have room for? 2 EMB sims, or room for more?

Don't remind them. That's the exact kind of thing they are likely to totally overlook.

As far as I have heard and seen, there are no plans to build SIM pads in the new building. The SIM's are staying where they are along with the servers and support staff. It's not like you can just reinforce a floor to handle a SIM.

    Uh Huh.

SIM's take three floors, they are just mounted on the first floor. Every SIM that is not FSI is owned and maintained by AA. The current 145 SIM's are not being moved even though we have well over 100 aircraft for the foreseeable future. We own 47 CRJ's yet not one single CRJ SIM. So now with what is left as far as 175 options we are adding SIM's for them to the new building of which we have the second floor.... All-righty then, time to replace the tin foil hats as the ones you are wearing aren't working right.

You are 100 % correct, I was not referring to the 145's sims.
