I'm not sure, but I think you keep CRJ pay. Have to really dig in that pay banding to find out.
    Sir, can I have another.

Well, any way Parker can whittle pilot costs.......Once Envoy gets E-175's, it's even more likely they'll farm out the CRJ's. Running 3 fleet types doesn't seem likely for any one AA feeder, especially with Parker's mentality.

No, he'd rather run (ruin?) 3 airlines all with different fleets.

We have the pay banding, but if the CRJ goes away, will that band be eliminated?

This story has more holes than Swiss cheese! First, with all the NDAs AAG makes people sign for the smallest crap, yet a VP at another airline is gonna stroll into a classroom and start running his mouth about future business practices! Yeah right, not unless this guy's head rolled the next day for his comments. Especially when they're in the midst of trying to cut a lucrative deal here at ENY. Secondly, they're gonna merge us with a non-wholly owned? I could see this if they had a bid in to buy Mesa, but I don't think that's the route they are going to take.

The more correct rumor would be that, Yes Mesa is opening a DFW base and Yes they may be getting our CRJs, but the reasoning why would make sense. It's not the demise of ENY, its that PHX is soon to become the next major city to lose in this era of mergers. PHX will soon join the ranks of CVG, MEM, PIT, CLE. So what do you do with your regional that is at a shrinking base? You shift them over to DFW. As for the airplanes (though honestly, who cares, the less planes at ENY, the more available to fill AA classes), I think AAG wants ENY a single type fleet. They want ENY flying Ejets, not CRJs. I believe the CRJs will be gone, but replaced with plenty of Ejets. Paxs like them more. Just my two cents, but this rumor doesn't seem to hold water.

Did we lose the ATR band when they parked that fleet?

I'm not sure. I'm not a CA yet and am admittedly not all that familiar with how the pay bands work.

If Mesa was in a position to take more airplanes then they would have taken 20+ 175's.
