    Here is the post,

    "

AA will continue reducing envoy frequency as larger RJs slowly come online. They will also drop the lowest yield markets. They will - within a year - make envoy the ONLY way to AA with a bigger flow program. They will buy other regionals for staffing more than equipment.

Once envoy becomes the only way to AA it will drive recruiting way up as pilots from places like Mesa, TSA, GoJets etc... Race to get hired at envoy. They can continue applying everywhere else, and be secure in their eventual flow to AA. Eventually, AAG will develop an ab-initio program to take them from zero to regional hero, with flow to AA. Finally, once all those pilots dry up, they will eventually bring the flying back in house. Delta will act similarly, but is far behind AAG in getting it set up. I told people for the past few years that the only jobs worth having will be with wholly owned regionals. Soon, you'll all see why.

I've encouraged our guys to get ahead of this and number all the envoy guys. The company controls hiring. They will make envoy the only way to AA, and that will in essence put them in seniority order, and we can't stop it. By numbering them all, we then demand a representation vote. Kick ALPA out, bring them into APA and begin a new contract. Some hard liners here at APA still can't see that we need to do this now before our leverage is gone. If the company does make all of our hiring from envoy, we will lose that leverage. The company is going to use our job as a hiring tool for envoy; while we collect no dues for an entire pilot group that us essentially stapled to our list.

Places like Mesa will eventually become dead end jobs as each legacy after legacy copies this model to attract pilots. As they default on their contracts, the legacies will poach them at giveaway prices.

Knowing how they think, I'd put RAH and AW high on the list for potential acquisition."

Does this make good sense, YES .

Will it ever happen, No Way.

Yes AAG does control the hiring, but APA has a say in it like it or not.
Unilaterally hiring from Eagle simply will not happen, not in the near future anyways.

APA does not hate Eagle ( I refuse to say that other name) but the majority do NOT consider them immediate Family.....more like a Distant cousin.

His best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Parker's plans at 31 Flavors last night. I guess he's pretty serious.

He's an AA pilot and supposedly buddies with some important players at AAG. He's been at AA for many years, and I believe was an AE pilot in the past. Not sure if he was an early flow, or one of the many AE pilots who were hired prior.

He's had a tendency to be correct more often than not.

He has come out with predictions in the past, ahead of announcements, that have been very correct.
He is ex eagle and had been over for a long while. He must have some connections, because he has said stuff in the past that has come to fruition.

If he says it is the plan, there is a 90+% chance it is very close to "the plan" based on past predictions.

As usual though, past predictions are no "guarantee" of future results.
But if I were a betting man........

An additional note from another poster:

"actually mason32 is correct. the deal between APA and the Eagle MEC was done last fall just management wanted to bleed the turnip a little more for concessions. The pilots voted NO and now we are in the quiet period until maybe the earliest May before the news comes out.

But this is a dynamic business as management says. "

A brothers sisters cousin told me that he was never Eagle, that he's a 777 CA, close to retirement, has a relative that is a pretty new guy at Envoy, and that he occasionally hangs with the big boys. Then again, he could have stayed at a holiday inn express last night.

Oh yea if it is a 777 ORD CA, most of they guys at AA think he was a mgmt tool. His little boy was in the first or second new hire class at AA.

Your brothers sisters cousin is correct and is entitled to another scoop of pistachio. This individual does get some good info as he can penetrate more layers of APA, but inner circle BOD stuff is still unknown. In this case, he's highlighted a lot of goals and desires, but the end result is a wildcard. There are still undecided variables in play regarding Envoy that make a definitive future prediction misguided.

One such variable is the lovely rumor (from members of the CP office) that the new envoy pilot uniform colors will be charcoal-grey (like Virgin) with TEAL (a greenish blue).

So, they say we are too expensive and not competitive, yet they want to spend money on this derelict fashion show????

Well, AA is getting a uniform change and since Parker would like to maintain a "seamless" experience between the mainline and the Eagle system. it would not be surprising that a similar uniform change will occur here, especially with Envoy being wholly-owned. You're not too expensive as you already know. That was just management's excuse to try and ring the dishrag out as much as possible. Thankfully, it failed despite a contingent of self-serving traitorous idiots or those too petrified to see it for what it was.

BTW, I've heard the new uniforms will be powder blue jumpsuits complete with red scarves and white snoopy caps. The goggles will be optional, of course. ;-)
