I know it is a industry wide statement, and I also know Omni does a much better job of training with the automation off than Atlas and it shows on the line. I sadly have many new hires that by 1200...
Yea Omni is light years ahead of Atlas when it comes hand flying.
I will say the FOs that I fly with that came from the 175 are light years ahead of the guys that didn't when it comes to understanding and trusting VNAV.
For the love of god, tell me nobody is taking the cash over a business/first ticket.
I am glad you are OK, I an enjoying the last of my 14 days of quality hotel time in the city that you guys use for the program. Thank god I seem to be asymptomatic at this point.
Still better than Atlas, word is we will not even look at a furloughed pilot even if they willing to resign recall rights.
That was a Atlas load that National was covering, really highlights the difference in ACMI airlines.
All ACMIs but ABX are hiring Atlas is hiring 400 by the end of the year and are running classes for all 4 fleets. Also if I was to get into the ATSG **** show, I would look at the ATI side of the...
It is a Cargo only flight, and most of their long haul fleet is flown by Expats.
That isn't how this works, BK doesn't mean the end of AAL, it means the unsecured debt holders get pennies on the dollar. Bailout money gets them to Oct, but that still doesn't explain how they pay...
I agree with you on the furlough, not so much on the BK. What is your logic or reasoning?
Now there was some luck on my part very fast upgrade at my shop, but looking at 3-4 years to WB FO, and 6-7 to NB CA, 12-15 years to WB CA if I would have flowed to AA, I will come out ahead in the...
I get it, we fly more NFL teams than any other airline, but we deal very little with the teams and mostly with NFL reps. Much like you will deal mostly with AC reps.
Also sorry the crews that just...
Much like my shop and every other ACMI airline, Omni doesn't have customer service in the same way as every 121 airline.
Omni needs to work on getting a better just culture, and less fire, ready,...
That isn't how it works, that isn't how any of it works. Looking at the raw numbers UPS at 530% looks like it will be in trouble, but AAWW at 113% will be ok. But once you dig into the numbers, UPS...
Come on, you know Debt to Equity tells us nothing without knowing about the debt and the amount of interest being paid on the debt.
Hey man I know you are making a lot more than you ever did at Eagle/Evnoy, but let's not pretend like you aren't one of the lowest compensated 767 pilot in the US. Also I think it is great that you...
Huh, checks email again. I guess 1,000TPIC in a RJ is better than 1,000TPIC in a 767
Atlas does, we won a grievance over it.
Good luck with those, we passed on the AA planes.
Are you getting paid for flying the company outsources? UPS and Fedex do.
You preferred Omni because they hired you, it is well known you interviewed at my shop and didn't get the call. As far as not having serious competition, you have 8 planes for the supplemental PAX...
They outsource to other ACMI airlines. Air21, Swift, WGA are what I would call the last to be used, they fight over lower margin flying. Amazon is never going to be its own thing, they need the...
I will believe you are starting cargo when I see you guys on the ramp in NRT, HKG or CVG. Zero slots, zero route authority and at least the first 4 of 14 are coming to Southern for now, but have GT...
